Modern Knee Arthroscopy
Modern Knee Treatment: Arthroscopy Explained

Dr. Arun Jyothi performs arthroscopic knee surgery, a modern and less invasive way to treat knee problems. Instead of making large cuts, the surgeon makes small openings and uses a tiny camera called an arthroscope to look inside the knee. The camera shows clear images on a screen, helping the doctor see what needs to be fixed. Special tools are used through the small openings to treat the problem without open surgery. This method causes less pain, smaller scars, and a quicker recovery. It is a safe and effective option for many knee conditions.
This surgery can treat issues like meniscus tears, ACL or PCL injuries, and other ligament problems such as MCL, LCL, or MPFL damage. It can also help with cartilage damage inside the knee joint. Depending on the condition, Dr. Arun Jyothi may use techniques like lateral release, plica removal, microfracture, or cartilage transfer. These treatments help reduce pain and improve how the knee moves. They also prevent further damage to the joint over time

Let’s Find a Feasible Time to Consult Doctor
Post-Surgery Care and Recovery
Before your surgery, your doctor will ask about any medications you’re taking, including blood thinners, and whether you should stop them. You’ll need someone to take you home after surgery, as anaesthesia and pain medications make it unsafe to drive. It’s also important to check your insurance coverage and ask any questions during your pre-surgery visit.
After the surgery, most people go home the same day. Recovery time depends on the type of treatment, your health, and age, but full recovery usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. You may need crutches, a brace, pain medicine, and physical therapy to help your knee heal. Applying ice, keeping your leg raised, and resting will speed up healing. In most cases, people can return to light activities in 1–3 weeks and resume normal routines in about 6–8 weeks.
